Enable Emergency Bypass Setting on Phone

The following is a list of instructions to enable your mobile phone to always ring when there is a text notification or a phone call from Klaxon. This includes ringing when the phone is on Silent or Do Not Disturb mode.  

This is an optional setting and does not affect receiving of Klaxon App notification.

The instructions covers both Apple iOS (iPhones) and Android phones only.  Note, for older mobile phone models, these options may not be available.

Instructions for Apple iOS (iPhone)

Klaxon Voice Notification : +44 (0) 7480 635 336

Klaxon SMS Notification : +44 (0) 1133207891

Steps:

1. Go to 'Contacts' and tap '+' from top right
2. Enter 'Klaxon Voice Notification' or 'Klaxon SMS Notification 'as contact name
3. Tap '+' and add the phone number above
4. Tap 'Ringtone' and turn on Emergency Bypass option. Tap done when finished.
5. Tap 'Text Tone' and turn on Emergency Bypass option.  Tap done when finished.

Instructions for Android Phone

Steps:

• Go to 'Contacts' and tap Add '+'
• Enter  'Klaxon Voice Notification' or 'Klaxon SMS Notification ' as contact name
• Enter the phone number above and tap 'Save'
• Tap the 'Star' to set the contact as favourite
• Open the 'Settings' on your phone
• Select 'Set Do Not Disturb rules'
• Select 'Priority only allows'
• In the "Call' section select 'From starred contacts only'
• In the 'Messages' section select 'From starred contacts only'

Note: depending on make and model of Android phone the instruction for the setting may be different.  Please check with manufacturer if unsure.
